  It is not clear what the status of the child Josie is.  She is 8 years old, is a granddaughter of Martin and Thalia (T Ann), but George and this wife Addie have been married less than one year, and we are told this is the first marriage for George.  Maybe the enumerator meant to report that Josie was 8 months old, instead of 8 years.
  
  By 1920, George is widowed.  His father has also died, and his mother is living with him and his two young sons Frank and Van.

  By 1930 George's mother has passed away and George and his youngest son Van are living with George's brother Alfred Martin Mullins.  Alfred is going by his middle name, Mart, common in this Mullins line, but has been enumerated as Matt A, instead of Mart A.

  In this census, George's age is 2 years less than his birth date would indicate.  A genealogy fills in some welcome details of George's life and tells us that George moved to California at some point.  This genealogy reports George's birth date as 1885, rather than 1884, as some public records indicate.  See the Draft registration and Death record below.  In earlier censuses his age is consistent with birth in 1886, and 1900 reports the birth year as 1885, as the age in 1910 also indicates.
