Notes

• The 1910 census gives us some helpful information about Martha Meiners and her family.  Martha is at home with her parents in Mill Bayou Township of Arkansas County, Arkansas, I found this census after all the others reporting Martha and her husband of Shannon Kennedy, with her mother Martha in the household.  Here we learn Martha's father's name, Ernest.  We are told that Ernest immigrated to the United States in 1869, and was naturalized as a citizen.

  Ernest Meiners died between the 1910 and 1920 censuses.  In 1920, his wife Martha is a widow living in the household of her daughter Martha and her husband Shannon Kennedy.
