In the 1940 census, Verneice is reported as Divorced and living withher divorced father.  There is no child reported in the household, soI don't know where her son Michael Keck Long is.  Keck was born about1933.  He is known from a photo sent by his mother to her grandfatherand step-grandmother when Michael Keck was 4 months old.  It is notknown for certain, but assumed that they still lived in PottawatomieCounty, Oklahoma, until their divorce.

A record for what appears to be this Roy Long is found in the 1940census in Harford, Maryland, where he is reported as Single (notDivorced), and working in a horse facility.  His residence in 1935 isreported as rural Osage County, Oklahoma.  Osage County is on theKansas border.  Roy and Verneice must have divorced about 1934 or so.
