The 1900 census reported that Elisha and his wife Laura have beenmarried 7 years, making the marriage about 1903.  With the birth dateof James Richard reported as August 1899, we can say that the firstwife died between August 1889 and some time in 1893.  When Elishamarried his second wife Laura.  The 1900 census reports that Elishaand Laura have been married 7 years at the 1900 census).  Elisha andLaura's first child was born in Chickasaw Nation in about 1895.

Her husband's death certificate identifies the informant as Mrs SallieGrubbs.  The had no daughter name Sarah, who might be called Sallie, but this could be a daughter-in-law.
