The scenario proposed by this genealogy does not seem likely. Perhaps two Henry Greens have been confused. In the 1850 census, Henry Green is with his wife Mary, back in his home area of Rutherford County,North Carolina. There is a 35-year-old Lucinda Green in the household and a 17-year-old Willis Green.
These two individuals fit the pattern of a widowed daughter-in-law and her son. This would not be possible if Henry and Mary did not marry until after Henry's first wife (Charlotte Corbin) died in 1836, the oldest child they could have would be less than 15 years old, youngest than the Willis Green in their home in 1850.
