    She had 4 known brothers: John W. Lewin, Charles A. Lewin, Henry J.Lewin (Llewellyn), and James S. Lewin (Llewellyn) and 2 sisters:Charlotte Ann Lewin (Llewellyn) Boyd and Eliza J. Lewin.

    Mary Ellen immigrated from Canada to Maine about 1871 and was usingthe name Llewellyn when she married Edward C. Sargent in 1873.

    Her oldest brothers, John and Charles, remained in Canada and kept theLewin name.
