  2 Pierres, sons of Pierre Perthuis & Claude Damise
  
  From several different sources I have obtained the list of Pierre and Claude's children.
  
  Their 10th child was Pierre, b. 16 Apr 1686.
  Their 12th child was Pierre, b. 19 May 1691.
  
  One of these Pierres died in 1708 in Deerfield, MA. The other married Catherine Maillet in 1713. One of them had a child out of wedlock, Pierre, b. 16 Feb 1709 Longueuil, who died 18 Feb. 1709 Montreal. The mother was Marie Angelique Bouteiller, dau. of Andre & Angelique Chapacou.
  
  Obviously the one who died in 1708 could not have married Catherine Maillet in 1713 although it is possible he could have sired the child by Marie Angelique Bouteiller.
  
  My problem is I have records I have seen show both Pierres married to Catherine, although I believe all the records showing a death in 1708 indicate this Pierre was the one b. 1686. I am descended from the one who married Catherine Maillet and would like to know which one that is. Can anyone help?

  Collections have sometimes confused the two brothers, treating them as one brother with one or the other birthday, or confusing the wives of the two brothers.  The following one has the correct birthday for the elder brother Pierre but reports he was the one who married Angélique Caron.  It seems both were born in Pointe Aux Trembles, Québec.

  There were several individuals in this lineage named Pierre.  Pierre dit la Genvery was one of two sons named Pierre, one with each wife of his father Pierre dit Lalime (Jr).  Angelique Caron's son Pierre was born in 1715.  Angelique died soon after.  Pierre who came to be called La Genvery was born in 1723, the son of Catherine Maillet and Pierre Pertuis dit Lalime.  A son or grandson of one of these appears to be the Louis Pertuis for whom we find the marriage record at Arkansas Post in 1793.  In that marriage record, Louis' parents are reported as the deceased Pierre Perthuis and Jeanne Francoeur.

  Pierre's son Peter, or Pierre, who came to be called La Genvery, is reported to have been born in Detroit.  The family moved on to Kaskasia, Illinois, where Pierre Lalime died.  His son La Genvery moved on to Arkansas Post on the White River.  The following genealogy, however, reports the Pierre born in 1691 as his father.
