Lola Mae Childers Fisher, 80, of 109 Lamplighter Cove, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at her residence.
A native of Gaffney, she was the wife of Alfred Evoid Fisher and daughter of the late Landrum Ezell Childers and the late Ina Pennington Childers. She was a member of Harvest Ministries and was a retired textile worker.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Jack Edward McSwain, Earnest Paul McSwain, Thomas Rudolph Fortner and Larry Dean McSwain, all of Hickory, N.C.; a stepson, Johnny Evoid Fisher of Fallston, N.C.; a sister, Thelma Hodge of Gaffney; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by two brothers, Monroe Childers and Coleman Childers; and five sisters, Vinny Childers Seals, Nellie Huskey, Lois Childers, Lila Childers and Margie Phillips.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Joe Crawford.
Pallbearers will be Edward Mayfield, Zanie Childers, Tim Childers, Marvin Childers, Johnny Fisher and Travis Childers.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at Gordon Mortuary, Blacksburg, and at other times they will be at the home.
