Surnames: SCOTT, MERRYMAN
I am looking for information pertaining to my MERRYMAN family and any descendants & SCOTT family from what is now the LeFlore, Oklahoma area. The areas of which they were from were at one time known as Skullyville, Skullyville Co., Moshulatubbe Dist., Choctaw Nation there in then Indian Territory. Also, lived Spiro and Sugar Loaf and other surrounding areas.
I am particularly looking for William P. Merryman 's wife Anna "Anny" Scott's genealogy, i.e. more information about her family lines. Her father was JOHN SCOTT.
And, her brothers:
WASHINGTON SCOTT, b. Abt. 1826, and
MORGAN SCOTT, b. Abt. 1828, and possibly a sister
LYDIA b. Abt. 1833.
She and her siblings were all born by the Leaf River, near the (P) Pearl River in the vicinity of Leake, Scott and Neshoba counties met. (Counties were not formed at that time).
