Leroy appears in the 1850 census with the name Leroy McCuthchin, making it appear his surname is McCutchin. If the genealogy above is correct, the enumerator must have meant that this 2-year-old child was Leroy McCutchin Green. It is also curious that this child's name was fully written out, while all the others were listed by only initials. And he does appear as L M Green in the 1860 census. His later marriage record has the name Leroy T M Green.
