    License Issued 13 May 1857
Marriage 14 May 1857 Cherokee, Georgia
    Ceremony by Silas Weever, JP

In the 1860 census, Samuel and Elizabeth Tatum are living in PickensCounty, Georgia.

1860 Federal Census, Pickens County, Georgia, 25 June, PO MarbleWorks, page 953, Hse #628, Fam #535
    Tatum, Samuel 20 M W Farmer  $140 Personal b North Carolina (b abt1840)
    Tatum, Elizabeth 18 F W Georgia
    Tatum, Missouri 2 F W Georgia
    Tatum, Amanda 4 months F W Georgia [b abt Feb 1860]
    Tatum, Hugh 14 M Alabama

Family history of the Gregorys of Oklahoma reports Amanda's birthdayas 22 February 1861, but we see that here she was recorded in the 1860census.  The month of February matches the age of 4 months reported inthe census.  The year should be 1860.  The year was somehow recordedwrong or remembered wrongly in family memory.

I cannot place this Hugh Tatum.  This would be a nephew, I imagine, ofSam and Elizabeth.

Next door to Sam and Elizabeth are George Ross Mullins and his wifeMary Elvira Bailey and their children.  Two doors down the other wayare James and Melvina Mullins, and on the other side of them is GreenMullins and his wife Elizabeth.  Green and James are brothers ofGeorge Ross.

The parents in this census record match very well with familytradition reporting Sam and Lizzie Tatum's ages and birthplaces as theparents of Amanda A Tatum West.
