    In 1880, Martin is age 21 and working on the family farm with his father.  The Cowart family are living three houses down from Samuel S Tatum, brother of his wife to be, Annie America West.  Sam and his wife Lizzie were parents of Amanda Tatum, who married Gus West.  Gus and Amanda were parents of Annie.

    Annie died young, in 1897, after bearing one son.  Then Martin married Vista B Cline in 1898.

    The 1900 census record for the Cline family reports Vista Cowart as married and she has an 8-month-old daughter Bonnie M Cowart, but her husband is not in that household.

    In 1910, Martin and Vista appear in their own household in the same town, Jasper, Georgia.
