  • Some family records indicate the spelling of the name is Luada.  The1880 census transcription by Ancestry/FamilySearch (LDS) has her nameas Lavada C.  Other family genelaogies that have the Wests also spellher name as Luada.  Her chidlren prefer the spelling Lou Ada.  Her sonHomer named his daughter Lou Ada.

    My mother Lou Ila Jenkins gave me the name as Lou Ada.  The latter isalso the name of a daughter of Homer and Dorothy Green.  Gravestonesfor two of her children have the mother's name as Lou Green, whichseems to indicate that Lou and Ada were two separate names for theirmother.

    The gravestone in Center Cemetery, Center, Oklahoma, has the namespelled Lou Ada:
    "Green Lou Ada  Apr 28, 1877    Feb 22, 1907    wife of T. J."
