    Abstract of Divorce Records 1837 - 1899
    Petition filed 4 January 1865 Book G p 16, 57. Divorce granted 2 August 1865; Book A, p 366

The petition for divorce was filed in January.  But the divorce was not granted until August.  But in the meantime before the final decree, Robert went to Illinois and married Mary Foust Richardson in April 1865.

    Spouse Name Mary Richardson
Marriage 25 Apr 1865 St. Clair County
This record can be found at the County Court Records located at Belleville, IL, Film # 1689026

In the 1870 census it appears that John, reported as age 9, appears to be Mary's son with her first husband named Richardson.  John is older, but listed after Lizzie, even though both were reported with the Boyd last name.  In 1880, John was correctly reported as a stepson, and with the surname Richardson.  I have not learned where Robert and Lucinda's other children were in 1870.

Note that Robert married Mary in 1865.  The oldest child here is reported as 20-year-old John F Richardson, born about 1860.  This confirms our surmise from the 1870 census, that this is Mary's son from her frist marriage with James Richardson.

A 1904 land ownership map of Livingston County, showing names of all plot owners has one 80-acre plot in the south in the name of R K Boyd.  It is not clear who this R K Boyd is.  Two genealogies attaching this map and date to Robert's profile also report he died 26 January 1885.  No documentation or explanation is provided.
