    Sources I have seen for Matilda's husband's name spell it Monterville. I have not been able to adequately document the Cherokee heritage.  It is doubtful Matilda could have been full blood.

    Pryor's station, decribed here as near Cave Springs, is in Polk County, Georgia.  Cave Springs is in Floyd County, Georgia.  So they lived close to the county line.
