    Sources I have seen for Matilda's husband's name spell it Monterville.I have not been able to adequately document the Cherokee heritage.  Itis doubtful Matilda could have been full blood.

    Pryor's station, decribed here as near Cave Springs, is in PolkCounty, Georgia.  Cave Springs is in Floyd County, Georgia.  So theylived close to the county line.
