    Biography
    Lucille Agnes Sloan, 86, of Marietta, OK was born March 9, 1925 atPike, OK, the daughter of William and Ola Roach Jackson. She passedaway Sunday, August 21, 2011 in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.

    A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Sloan graduated fromCourtney High School. She had been employed as a dietitian for schoolsand the hospital. She married Loyd Albert Sloan in Marietta on March14, 1942, and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1992. A member ofthe Burneyville Church of Christ and the Marietta Church of Christ,Mrs. Sloan enjoyed church activities, especially the Ladies BibleStudies. She was also a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary of MercyHealth Love County and the Garden Club. Mrs. Sloan's hobbies includedsewing, embroidery, gardening, cooking/canning, playing dominoes andbingo, and going to parties. She enjoyed all types of arts and craftsand most recently had been making beaded necklaces and bracelets.

    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents;and three brothers, Loyd, Elvin and J.M. Jackson.

    She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rex Darrell and CynthiaSloan of Haltom City, TX; three daughters and sons-in-law, EulaHedrick and Virginia and Harry Debrick, all of Irving, TX, and Normaand Chris Cowley of Colleyville, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Geneand Virginia Jackson of Courtney, OK; sister, Christene Jones of LoneGrove, OK; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 11great-great-grandchildren.

    Casket bearers will be Chad Cowley, Jeremy Debrick, Loyd Sloan, KyleMelendrez, Randy Hill, Wade Wrobel, Ryan Whiteaker and Jason Hughes.Honorary bearers will be the Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Mercy HealthLove County.
