She was born in Douglas County, MO, and came to this state in 1901,moving to Davis six years ago. (note from Janet: the land rush was1906, so it should have said 1906 not 1901) Her childhood was spent inTexas.

[The date of 1901 is likely correct.  The Oklahoma Land Rush, officially called the Oklahoma Land Run, took place in stages from1889 to 1906.  The first land run was in 1889, in the UnassignedLands, before the declaration of Oklahoma Territory.  The last Runtook place in 1906 December. with "Big Pasture" lands opened by bids, before the declaration of the State of Oklahoma in November 1907.  TheChickasaw and Choctaw Nations took the first step toward whitesettlement when in 1897 they agreed to the pressure of the USgovernment to abolish the Nations' governments and communal landownership.  --  Orville Boyd Jenkins,  ref Oklahoma Land Openings,1889-1907, OKGenWeb, http://www.okgenweb.org/~land/]
